I’m a Hawaii-based photographer, luthier, and observer of ordinary moments.

Most of these images are made between walks, conversations, travel, work, and whatever happens in between.

Hawaii and Japan appear often, but the real subject is usually presence, mood, light, and small human moments.

“Finding…” became a way to organize the work:
finding home, finding connection, finding stillness, finding tasty waves.

This site is an ongoing collection of those observations.
